Fox News host Mark Levin rhetorically body-slammed the self-described independent centrist Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for endorsing Democrats Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for president and vice president, respectively. In a Twitter rant, Levin described the enormously popular movie star and former pro wrestling champion as a “self-righteous egomaniac.”

“And why should we care who another actor endorses?  What a surprise, he endorses the Democrats,” Levin added, evidently not liking the smell of what The Rock is cooking, to use a callback to one of Johnson’s signature catchphrases.

The constitutional law expert and one-time Never Trumper who is now one of the president’s strongest media supporters seemed particularly incensed over the Harris endorsement, suggesting that this could actually benefit President Trump on Election Day.

“By the way, to show you what a clown ‘the Rock’ truly is, he says he’s a centrist and Independent, yet he’s effusive in his support for Kamala Harris, who’s the most leftwing senator in the Senate (left of Sanders!), and was the most vicious and vile hack of the bunch during Brett Kavanaugh‘s confirmation hearings.  This should make you even more active in re-electing President Trump,” continued the host of Live, Liberty & Levin, using a verbal form of the People’s Elbow.

In an embarrassingly gushing and obviously staged video released on social media that has received millions of views, Johnson implied that was publicly throwing his weight behind, as it were, a presidential ticket for the first time.

“As a registered independent for years now with centrist ideologies, I do feel that Vice President Biden and Sen. Harris are the best choice to lead our country, and I am endorsing them to become president and vice president,” The Rock said to the disappointment of at least some portion of his vast fan base.

Johnson’s video embedded below included footage of his cringe-worthy conversation with Biden and Harris.

In response to Johnson’s question about how the duo plans to earn the respect of the American people, Sleepy Joe — who addressed Johnson as “DJ”  — perversely claimed that he would do so by telling the voters the truth which is ironic given that his campaign team is trying to conceal that Biden is a mere figurehead for the far-left’s radical agenda. On the same theme, Harris chimed in that “trust” and “honesty” are important. Biden also included some pandering about cosmetic diversity in his administration.

Although The Rock’s endorsement video almost appears to be a parody (but isn’t,) he may indeed have sincerely held beliefs that prompted him to reach this decision and exercise his free speech rights.

The subtext of the word salad in the video, however, may be that The Rock simply doesn’t appreciate President Trump’s brash, abrasive personality, even though Johnson perhaps followed a quasi-similar, bombastic blueprint to successfully transition from the WWE to Hollywood.

On the other hand, anyone who navigates in the entertainment or sports space, or both, has to publicly espouse support for the Democrats for career reasons, to which the Hodge Twins (and many others in and on the periphery of the industry) have alluded.

Two-time Obama voter Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson supposedly didn’t vote for Trump, Clinton, or anyone else in 2016. Johnson floated the idea of running for president himself in 2020, but nothing ever came of it.
